SUSTAINABILTY FRAMEWORK & GOVERNANCE
Our vision is to be a leading property developer, recognised for delivering high-quality and innovative products. We strive to create a liveable and sustainable environment that will enhance the lives of those who live and work here.

A TWO-PRONGED SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
Top-Down Function
SDB’s Board of Directors (the Board), supported by the senior management team play a key role in driving the company’s sustainability commitment.

The Board has the responsibility of overseeing the company's sustainability vision and strategy and ensuring that it aligns with the long-term interests of all stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, customers, and the environment etc.

By setting the tone from the top, the Board of Directors can help ensure that sustainability is integrated into all aspects of the company's decision-making and operations.

The Board can also help hold the company accountable for meeting its sustainability goals and report on its progress to stakeholders.
Bottom-Up Function
The bottom-up approach refers to a method where sustainability initiatives are initiated and driven by employees.

This approach recognises that employees have a unique perspective and can contribute valuable ideas and insights, and that involving them in the sustainability effort can lead to more buy-in and a greater sense of ownership throughout the organisation.

Under a bottom-up approach, employees are encouraged to identify and implement sustainability initiatives within their own departments or areas of responsibility.

These initiatives are then brought to the attention of management, who can help provide the resources and support to implement them.
SUSTAINABILITY GOVERNANCE
The Group adopts a holistic approach to business management by upholding the Economic, Environmental and Social (“EES”) pillars of sustainability.

At the same time, we also enhance our Sustainability Governance to help the Group to implement strategy, manage goal-setting and reporting, ensure accountability as well as strengthen relationships with our stakeholders.
